High School Injury Clinic

Dr. Liu with Serrano athletic training staff.

The High School Injury Clinic at Southern California Bone and Joint Clinic is a voluntary service provided by our office.  It offers free evaluations for musculoskeletal injuries to high school athletes, as they are often disadvantaged and underserved.  Even if insured, athletes may still wait a long time to obtain a referral to see an orthopaedic specialist, and critical time may be missed in-season. The Injury Clinic provides a way for them to be evaluated quickly after an injury to ensure that the best care is given as soon as possible.

The Injury Clinic is year-round. The hours are mostly weekly on Wednesdays from 3-5pm.  During the high school football season, they will be moved to Saturday mornings from 8:30-10:30pm to better serve the football athletes who may have been injured the night before.  As long as one of our affiliated teams are in the playoffs, they will continue on Saturdays until no teams remain.  Exceptions to the free clinic schedule may occur such as around holidays, so please follow our Facebook and Twitter pages to keep updated on the most current free clinic hours.
